Shonan Bellmare put the ball in the net in the move that followed a cross from the right. The referee, however, penalised the attacking side, Shonan, for a handball offence.

How the footage and Laws apply

Although everything happened in an instant in a crowded area, the referee identified the offence clearly. Watching the footage again, it can be seen that the rebound from the goalkeeper's block struck the arm of a Shonan attacking player. The situation was extremely difficult to judge in such a congested area, and the referee on the field arrived at the correct decision. This is an excellent piece of refereeing.
